The rise in temperatures around the world and green house effect has gained a lot of movement recently.

Potentially threatening for our environment, global warming can actually lead to a situation which life can not longer exist on this planet forever.

Many human actions are the cause of this phenomenon and are still adding up to it.

Electricity has changed the world tremendously and today we live in a world which can not even think of spending a day without electricity.

So much is the addiction, that it is produced by exploiting fuels formed from the fossils about hundreds and thousands of years ago which is non renewable, once we run out of it. This also emits carbon dioxide in our atmosphere and adds to greenhouse effects.

The need of the hour is to shift over to cleaner, renewable sources for generation of electricity and other day to day purposes as well. Such energy, also called the “green energy” includes sunlight, hydro power, wind etc.

Although, it is proven beyond doubt that no energy source is pure and there is some problem with every reaction that takes place without nature’s approval, but the idea is to minimize the damage inflicted on ecological balance so that our coming generations are not starved of the luxuries we exploit today!

The nature has created itself without any involvement of the mankind over a period of million years and is irreplaceable.

There is an establish method in which it works. Any disturbance from that would lead to a total ecological imbalance.

Nature is not at all prone to heaps of non biodegradable and inorganic items.

Among others, plastic and polythene are two man made articles which leave a major negative impact of the ecological system because they can never enter the environment cycle of reuse and replenish.

Bio degradation is a method where organic items are turned in to re useable products by enzymes. Plastic and polythene, for that matter, are non bio degradable.

The best plan to sustain an ecological balance is to restrict the use of non bio degradable articles. This change should start at the lowest level and should go at the highest one. A little change can bring a big impact, so the excuse of an individual effort being useless is unacceptable.

A few items that can replace the “to-be-banned” products are green cups, cotton hats, leaf bags and paper bags etc. Or for the least, buy the new age plastic bags which can be degraded, though over a larger period of time, but still are less hazardous then where we stand today!

Cleaners are made up of chemicals which are not good for health. While on the other hand, green chemicals are equally effective and pose no exposure to health hazards.

Commercial cleaning chemicals might be advertised in a fashionable way and to some extent, achieve magnificent results, but in the long run, they’ll never be good if you consider the injuries they inflict on you and the environment.

Green chemicals are made up of plant based natural formula. They are 100% safe for the body, being chlorine free and non-toxic for kids and pets as well.

Not only eco-friendly, they’re effective cleaners as well. These chemicals can enter into dirt and grease particles and wash them away better than other cleaning solutions. These formulas are widely used in commercial areas like aircraft maintenance, hospitality services and auto dealing.

Almost everyone is aware of the depleting natural resources, use of eco-friendly products and the need to create a better tomorrow with sustainable development.

Reuse and recycle have become one of the most commonly used words now. Every community is interested in any way they can help revive the losing ecological balance.

One area where some activity is seen in this regard is the Buildings. Solar panels and provision for storing and reusing rainwater are applied at the rooftops of high rise buildings.

Also there has been an effort to reduce transporting heavy material and rather they’re purchased from local vendors as it saves the fuel spent in traveling with it.

The last aspect of these green buildings is waste disposal system. Reuse, recycle and Reduce are the 3 R’s which have entered in top management’s policies as well! With the rise in demand of green building technologies, the price will soon come at par with normal construction projects!
