Using a number of chargers is very common these days, since almost every person toady possess more than one cell phone, MP3 players, cameras, PDA, GPS, camcorders and many other gadgets.

In addition to the hassle created by the multiple chargers, one wastes equally high amount of energy which is generally left unused in the batteries.

Though the size of batteries used in portable gadgets is reducing by the day, there is hardly any change in the substance that is used to make them, that is, primarily being ‘lead’.

Chemicals inside a battery is non recyclable, non degradable and unsafe to landfill. It’s becoming a major concern all around the world as a large number of new batteries are made everyday, while the used ones are disposed off in the most unprofessional manner, even by the most developed countries.

Realizing the health and ecological hazards, scientists have come up with a brilliant concept of rechargeable batteries. These might cost a little extra than usual ones, but there are beneficial both ecologically and financially in the long run.

The idea is not to throw them away once they’re dead, rather they are placed in a charger and within a few hours, it back and as good as new. This not only reduces the issue of disposal of batteries, but motivates people to engage in recycling of every possible article around them.

Forest area cover around the globe is fast depleting, thanks to the unwarranted construction projects and uncontrolled rise in population that leading to shortage of space to live, work and move around.

In such a situation, employing recycled timber is not only being eco friendly, but also adds your contribution the sustainable development of the environment.

It also sends out the message that when recycled timber is available, atleast don’t chop down the forest for the requirement of wood!

Recycle timber has an added advantage that it was obtained from the best trees, before mass development began. Such seasoned wood can provide better than quality even after recycling them, than a set of freshly cut timber.

Using such timber is also a way to pay tribute to the natural heritage that existed and a support to the years yet to come. There’s hardly a difference in the quality of timber, while you’ll always cherish the classical look of a used timber, which becomes unique in its own secret way.

This rustic look has started getting acceptance these days and thus, the demand of recycled timber is shooting by day. Warmth and radiant charm, is all what a reusable timber will spread around itself.

The printing press industry has a key role to play in this information age.

A whole array of products is manufactured in these presses, including posters, booklets, postcards, business cards, stationeries and calendars etc.

Though the products are used extensively in every part of the world, there is hardly any information to the mass about environmental hazards they pose.

The need of the hour is to print green and clean, while still not compromising with the working of information industry.

Printing green means the transformation on process that produces toxic wastes and encouraging recycle of paper and other material to ensure an eco friendly working atmosphere.

Also, green printing refers to organized disposal of waste created at the press.

Disposal management system works in two parts. It begins with classification of the total waste in to toxic and non toxic waste.

The bio degradable waste should be disposed off systematically for nature’s way of disintegration. The recyclable waste should be sent for reuse while the toxic ones should be dealt with carefully.

Green printing methods employ lesser use of volatile organic compounds, which are the major source of pollution in a printing job. In addition to that, going green will not affect productivity or profitability in any way!
